GENERAL POLICIES/ ETIQUETTE/ HARASSMENT

  • Badges must be worn and displayed at all times, and badges in some way must include your full legal name.

  • Violence, assault, illegal paraphernalia, soliciting, and any other activities as prohibited by the venue or by the law are not allowed.

  • Be respectful of those around you. This extends to guests, con staff, other attendees, vendors, the general public, venue staff – if there’s another living being in your vicinity you are expected to afford them respect. This also applies to property – theft will not be tolerated and depending on the severity of the offense the authorities may be involved.

  • Absolutely zero tolerance will be afforded to those engaging in harassment. This includes verbal, physical, or any other forms of harassment. This extends to unwanted physical contact and photography, including those in costume; we are firm believers in the “Cosplay is not Consent” philosophy. If someone asks you to give them space, or not to take their picture, or to please refrain from contact from them, please abide by this.

  • This is not a weekend-long event, so while showering during the event is unlikely, we still politely request that people be mindful of scents and odors. This does not apply just to hygiene; there are plenty of people with sensitivities to perfumes and colognes and we ask that people not go overboard with these either.

  • Please keep noise to a respectful level. Ideally phones should be set to silent/vibrate, but we also recognize practicality concerns with this in general con space. Devices ARE expected to be set on silent in panel and event rooms. Disruption may be met with polite removal from the event in question.

WEAPONS POLICY & PROPS

Weapons are not allowed. This extends to knives, projectile weapons, firearms, blunt weapons, and other implements not listed here at discretion of convention staff. If you are found in possession with one of these, you will be asked to leave the premises and keep it in a place like your car - if the situation calls for it authorities will also be notified.

Cosplay props and weapon replicas are permitted provided as they are not made of metal. Wood and plastic are allowed, though replica firearms are not permitted and prop fictional firearms must have orange caps and be not loaded. This includes but is not limited to foam darts, water or other liquids, explosive caps, other projectiles, etc. Signs are allowed so far as they are deemed respectful and are not too disruptive. Large or particularly unwieldy props/costumes/etc are requested to kept out of the dealer’s room and panel rooms.

This is not an exhaustive list – all decisions regarding props are at the discretion of convention staff, and obvious things like assault with a prop or prop theft will be dealt with as per the previous guidelines.
